Sometimes I wish I could draw
Among the few things I do when I visit my deviantART account are the following: (1) view (and delete) my messages (if any) and updates/uploads from the people I follow and (2) click on the Statistics button and see how many I have lured to my page.
When I finally get the consolation that at least my page has been viewed at least once a day (I’m a little petty, I know), I scroll down and look at the “Newest Deviations” pane and go back to feeling a little dismayed because nobody chose to comment or view my works. And then I scroll down a little further and find it odd that my “Favourites” are composed of drawings and sketches, graphic designs, arts and crafts, posters, and photographs.
Not that there’s something wrong about appreciating works of art. Continue reading →
Vignettes
When I was in grade school, my dream was to have my own novel published. I read a few local comics, watched a few Tagalog-dubbed anime and cartoons, and I decided, “Hey, why don’t I write a story of my own?”
I used up quite a lot of notebooks and pens in a span of 10 years. Here is to hope
First off, here’s the second and final chapter of my first love story in six (I think) years.
Second, my apologies for being so lazy – this year has been good to me in so many ways but a little mean in others and I just couldn’t get out of the rut that I seem to be stuck in. Here’s to hoping that 2012 will be a better year for everyone.
Yes. I don’t believe that the world will end in 2012. I believe in the rainbow.
What’s taking so long?
This is what’s taken me so long to publish anything on here.
When I was in high school, I was so fond of writing love stories, hoping to make money off of them. I guess it’s a rather fanciful idea, considering that not many people are convinced that words on a page could be thought of as entertainment.
But that’s just me being bitter, so don’t mind me. And I think I should get back to that 30-Day Blog Challenge just so I could actually accomplish something in my blog.
I do hope you enjoy reading, nonetheless. It’s just the first chapter – I’ll post the second (and final one) soon.
Let me know what you think. Cheers!
